I've been slacking on writing here, but it has been a great week. We studied ancient Greek history and the question of why they won wars against the Persians when they were outnumbered a hundred to one: they were fighting, as were the Nephites in a different time and place, to protect their wives and their children, their homes and their liberty. I love that we get to discuss these things during the school day.
Today Ezra is finishing The Great Little Madison, which is James Madison's biography, and he has been forcibly impressed by the greatness of our founding fathers. When he prayed over our lunch, he thanked Heavenly Father for sending such great men to found a free country where the gospel could flourish. I love what a serious-minded fellow Ezra is growing to be. I know he'll do great things in his life.
