Focus!

Today Georgia pointed out to me that I keep talking about things I learned at the convention that are helping me home school the kids.  The biggest thing that has impacted us is the suggestion to turn off all social media and stay away from all housework during home school hours.  During those three hours, I'm all theirs.  Even when things are running like a top and no one seems to need me, I take that time to prepare lessons, study great home schooling how-tos, or even just enjoy one of the kids at a time.  This kind of laser-like focus not only makes me into a better teacher, it frees me of any guilt I might feel in taking time for chores later, or even time for myself.  And the time I spend studying home school manuals really inspires me to be the best teacher I can be.  I am so grateful for this nugget of wisdom which has inspired me so much.  I am grateful for a God who is eager to share his wisdom with all who seek for it.
