Yesterday I was reading in our history book and I found that in the 15th century most people didn't know how to read!They were very ignorant and thought that if you sailed too far, you would fall off the earth!The people that knew how to read were actually educated and they knew the earth was round.But no one knew how big the earth was.

Eliza, isn't it crazy to think that most people didn't know how to read back then? That's so sad! Life would be pretty boring if you didn't know how to read!
