I'm reading a cool book about the Civil War, called Rifles for Wattie. It was really brutal. People would get wounded so badly by guns that they would have to amputate their legs and arms. And there was tons of bombs everywhere and there was face-to-face fighting. I'm so glad that soldiers don't have to do that so much anymore. Also, I've been reading my other American History book and it's been very fascinating. There was this guy named Ethan Allen,who lived up in the mountains and when America became America, he was asked to attack a British Fort. He snuck all the way in there with all his friends without even killing anyone. It was super cool.
