I composed this post in my head yesterday, so, totally counts. :)
TJ took the kids to our school district's kite festival yesterday, which culminates the reading program they do each spring in the schools. We filled out their reading tracking sheets retrospectively, estimating their minutes per day based on what they usually do. Even estimating conservatively, all the kids at least doubled the daily minimum required reading.
We haven't accomplished everything, but my big goal for this year was to get my kids to fall in love with reading. Mission accomplished.
