Writing, Art, History

In Writing, I am drawing my map on poster board.  It's kind of hard.  I kind of got discouraged today because I had to write some of the words over again because they weren't big enough. When I was making my rough draft I asked my mom how to spell some of the words.  I just finished a book.  It was called Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew.  I read a story in Aesop's Fables called "The Golden Ax." When I told the story to my mom she said her Grandpa Monnett used to tell that story.

In Art I learned about a painting called Yellow - Red - Blue by Wassily Kandisky.  The painting was built around three shapes.  One blue circle, one yellow triangle, and a red cross.  It's actually not supposed to look like a certain thing, or anything, really.  This is called abstract art.  This would probably be pretty fun to paint!  This is a picture of it.

In History I learned about a rich person's house in the ancient Egyptians' time.  At parties, servants perfumed fat on peoples' heads, so when the perfumed fat slid down their face it would cool them off at parties.  I think it would be uncomfortable.
